PowerColor Announces the LCS Radeon R9 290X

We showed you a few shots of it the other day and now it is official. PowerColor has announced the first and only (for the moment) R9 290X with a liquid cooling solution on the market. PowerColor has joined forces with EK Water Blocks to bring you the PowerColor LCS R9 290X.

Both the memory and GPU are factory overclocked on this card. The GPU core is set at 1060 MHz over the 1000 MHz of the reference design of the card. The memory is overclocked to 1350 MHz which is 100 MHz over the reference speeds. This should give you a nice performance boost. The card also features PowerColors “Gold Power Kit” which enables stable power and efficiency even at high loads.

The LCS Radeon R9 290X will feature a full-coverage waterblock that cools the GPU, memory and power delivery components. The base is made of nickel-plated copper which allows for temperatures under 60C even under full load. The block also has high-flow 3/8″ and 1/2″ fittings (barbs) to maximize water flow with captured o-rings to prevent leakage.

No word yet on pricing or availability of this card.
