Radeon RX 7800/7700 XT Hellhound & Fighter GPU Series Teased By PowerColor

PowerColor is stirring up anticipation once more by teasing a new Radeon GPU, after a previous premature listing of the RX 7800 XT Red Devil GPU earlier this month.

During Gamescom, ASRock displayed cardboard mock-ups of the upcoming Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT models. PowerColor also participated by providing a glimpse of their GPUs, specifically from the Hellhound and Fighter series.

Earlier this month, PowerColor took an early step by introducing the Radeon RX 7800 XT Red Devil GPU. Back then, there were no indications of AMD intending to make such a release, which ended up prematurely exposing a new GPU and spoiling AMD’s intended surprise. Nevertheless, PowerColor still has more cards to announce in the upcoming days, including mid-range Hellhound and entry-level Fighter models.

Two teasers have been unveiled by the company, with one on Twitter (X) and another on Facebook, both suggesting the imminent arrival of new cards. Regrettably, the company hasn’t revealed any specifics about these cards, except for a model that includes dual 8-pin power connectors. The black edition of the Hellhound model is showcased, but there’s no official confirmation yet regarding the potential release of the Hellhound Spectral series, which might feature a white color scheme.

The Fighter SKU is part of the budget series and is commonly available in stores at MSRP. This variant eliminates ARGB elements and places a higher emphasis on a reliable cooling solution and alignment with AMD’s suggested specifications.

AMD has set the date of August 25th for the announcement of the new cards, and it’s very probable that PowerColor and other board partners will also unveil the complete specifications on that very day.
