Razer has finally unleashed their beast, the Blade 17. It is powered by Intel 11th Gen Tiger Lake-H i9-11900H processor paired with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card.
The laptop benefits from 8 cores and 16 threads making it capable of operating at a boost clock speed of up to 4.9 GHz. The graphics department is handled by NVIDIA’s most powerful mobile graphic card offering. Besides this, Razer has provided a 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM and a 1TB NVMe. A 17.3″ 4K touch display with a 120Hz refresh rate is there for the hardware to show off its capabilities. Razer has also implemented an anti-fingerprint resistive coating to keep the screen clean.
Razer also focused on some other features which might go unnoticed, like the full HD 1080p webcam. Blade 17 has also received an upgraded cooling solution that features an improved vapor chamber and high-speed, quiet fans. Moreover, the manufacturer has included palm rejection in the touchpad too. It helps to stop the unnecessary cursor movement caused due to an accidental touch while typing.
“The Blade 17 has been a staple in the premium gaming laptop space for years, and it’s crucial that we continue to deliver the kind of mind-blowing performance and impeccable quality that our fans expect and deserve. Continuously integrating improvements while introducing the newest, top-of-the-line hardware advancements is what gives the Blade family its ‘edge’. Razer Blades have always been synonymous with style and power, and we intend to keep it that way.”
The Blade 17 also features Thunderbolt 4 ports and USB-C charging. Razer Chroma Powered backlighting is installed on the keyboard. A THX Spatial Audio for immersive 360-degree sound is also offered. Although a single PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD is provided, luckily, the laptop has a second slot for future upgrades.
The Razer Blade 17 is available for pre-order on the Razer website with a starting price of $2,399.99 for the base configuration with an Intel Core i7-11800H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060.
