For many reasons the the PC is slowly working it’s way to the living room. It may be the comfort of the couch, or maybe because we PC Gamers are finally ready to socialize. Whatever the case, Razer is here to make the transition easier with Forge TV.
While Forge TV is a full blown Android beast, complete with a quad core processor and enough memory for all the next level HD Android apps it has many other features as well.
Android 5.0, Lollipop
Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 805
Quad-Core Krait 450 CPU – 2.5GHz per core
Adreno™ 420 GPU
16GB of Storage
Bluetooth 4.1 + HS
Wireless 802.11ac 2X2
HDMI 1.4 output
105mm X 105mm X 17mm
TV with HDMI input
As a PC enthusiast I find the most impressive feature to be the Forge’s ability to stream your pre-rendered games from your desktop rig to the living TV. You can then use the new Turret living room mouse and game pad to get your 4K gaming on.
Additional features include a huge selection of games and apps, including video streaming services. Through an app downloaded to your phone you also have the ability to control the Forge set through voice command.
Look for the Forge TV sometime in the first quarter of 2015 for $99. As with any Razer device we expect it to be continuously improved and more functions to be added through out it’s life time.
