Reeven Okeanos CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts
Reeven has done a really great job on the Okeanos! For us when it comes to air coolers there are a few things we really look at. They are performance, how loud the cooler is, and how easy it is to install. The Okeanos excels in all of these areas.

First let’s talk about performance. Being that this is Reeven’s flagship CPU cooler we expected good performance and Reeven delivered. Currently it sits as the #2 cooler in our test group, only being beat out by the Scythe Ninja 4, which is a massive cooler. Keep in mind we used the SSA adapters in our testing so if you happen to not use them you might even see better results. Also you have the ability to add a third fan for even more performance.

Now you can have all of the performance in the world, but if you PC sounds like it’s about to take off it really defeats the purpose. Reeven has a great balance between performance and sound. During idle the cooler is whisper quiet and even during full load the cooler was not all that loud at all. The SSA adapters are great as they provide the best balance of performance as silence.

While most people will only be installing this cooler maybe once or twice you still want the installation process to be pretty easy. Reeven makes cooler installation quite simple, it took me at most 10 minutes to get the cooler fully installed. The instructions are very easy to follow and the illustrations really show you how everything should go. I was able to install the cooler with my motherboard still in my case as well.

There really is a lot to like about the cooler, but I did find one thing that was a little odd. Usually when there are two cooling fans a cooler comes with a Y-connector so you can plug them both into your CPU fan header. While most motherboards have a secondary CPU fan header some do not. This cooler does not come with a Y-connector so you have to be sure you have at least two headers available.

Right now this cooler is priced at $75 on Newegg. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Reeven Okeanos CPU Cooler a 9 out of 10 score.

rating9 10 small

– Great performance
