It appears the NVIDIA RTX 3080 Ti launch could be right around the corner as boxes marked “GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Ventus 3X 12G OC” where spotted on their way to distribution centers in the US. These photos were posted by user “Lok LOK” on Facebook and they show pictures of the boxes with their shipping labels intact. The boxes also include RTX 3090’s, GT 710’s, and RX 580’s.
Since the card is listed with 12GB of memory we can assume that the RTX 3080 Ti will max out the 384-bit GDDR6X interface of the GA102 silicon, giving the card 2GB more memory than the RTX 3080 which has 10GB. MSI’s Ventus 3X OC is a more “value” offering, although it will feature a custom design and factory overclock. The RTX 3080 Ti is NVIDIA’s response to AMD’s Radeon RX 6900XT at the $1000 price point.
