We’ve been talking a lot about NVIDIA’s upcoming RTX 40 SUPER Series or as some are calling it the RTX 40 refresh. All of the rumors we’ve heard hint to the fact that NVIDIA will reveal these cards during their “Special Address” at CES 2024 on January 8th. Now while NVIDIA may announce these cards, that does not mean they are going to be immediately available. According to IT Home the RTX 4070 SUPER will launch on January 17th, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will follow, launching on January 24th, and then finally the RTX 4080 SUPER on January 31st.
So the RTX 40 SUPER Series launch schedule will look something like this…
RTX 40 SUPER Announcement: January 8, 2024
RTX 4070 SUPER Launch: January 17, 2024
RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Launch: January 24, 2024
RTX 4080 SUPER Launch: January 31, 2024
When it comes to the specifications of these cards all we have are rumors. So the RTX 4070 SUPER is expected to use the AD104 GPU and will have 7168 CUDA cores with the memory configuration remaining the same at 12GB.
The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will move up to the AD103 GPU and will have 8448 CUDA cores and you’ll get a bump up to 16GB of VRAM.
Finally the RTX 4080 SUPER will also feature the AD103, but will make full use of the chip giving you 10240 CUDA cores. The card will also retain its 16GB of VRAM.
We’ve also heard that both the RTX 4080 SUPER and RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will replace their existing SKUs, but the RTX 4070 SUPER will coexist in the market with the current RTX 4070.
