Samsung Galaxy S4 to Launch in February

It appears that Samsung will launch the successor to their very popular Galaxy S3 smartphone at Mobile World Congress in February. We assume this will be to counter the sales of the recently released Apple iPhone 5. According to a source within Samsung the new phone will be announced a MWC 2013 in February and get an official release date in March.

The source says that the smartphone will be called the Galaxy S4 and will feature a 4.8-inch OLED display, Samsung’s own Exynos quadcore chipset, and a 13-megapixel camera. The Galaxy S4 will no doubt launch on Android Key Lime Pie (Android 5.0), feature LTE, masses of storage, SD-support, and next-generation Wi-Fi just like Apple’s iPhone 5.

According to the source, Samsung’s ambitious timetable was settled upon three days after Apple’s iPhone 5 event last week, with the company hoping that a refresh of its flagship after just nine months will prove suitably compelling in contrast to the iOS 6 handset.
