Sapphire Radeon RX 480 Nitro Detailed

More pictures of Sapphire’s Radeon RX 480 Nitro have been released. This was the first custom RX 480 offering we saw back in June. The card features a custom-designed PCB and a large new-generation cooling solution. While the first set of photos showed a silver/chrome color of the cooler shroud, the card’s final design will feature a gunmetal finish.

The cooler is made up of a dense aluminum fin-stack heatsink with copper heatpipes and two 100 mm fans. The fans will remain off when the card is idle. Also the fans are detachable, which allows you to clean them and the heatsink underneath. The card has a pretty nice backplate with both the Sapphire and Nitro logos. There is a button on the top of the card that allows you to switch between the two BIOS’s.

On the side of the card is a large Sapphire logo that lights up with RGB lighting. The card is powered by a single 8-pin PCI-Express power connector which is on the end of the card. The card is rumored to feature clock speeds of 1350 MHz.
