Installation
We will be installing the Ashura CPU cooler in our X79 system that makes use of the Intel LGA2011 socket. Our installation will be easier than some as we will not need to install a backplate. The first thing you are going to want to do is install the stud nuts in the LGA2011 socket as shown below.
Now install the mounting plates on each side of the socket with the included screws. For socket 2011 you need to install the screws in the highest or furthest away opening in the mounting plate. Now your setup should look like what we have below.
Apply the included thermal paste on to your CPU. Then take the mounting bar and place it across the bottom of base of the cooler. It should stay in place fairly well.
Now carefully place the cooler on to your CPU lining up the holes in the mounting bar with the holes in the mounting plates. Secure the cooler with the two large screws. As you can see we have quite a lot of room on each side of the cooler.
Finally the last thing you will need to do is install your fan, which uses fan clips that are easy to attach. It is much easier to remove your graphics card to install the fan. Now just plug in the fan to your motherboard and you are good to go!
