Scythe Fuma CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts
As I said Scyhthe is not all that well known, here in the United States, but they really should be! One thing that has always impressed me about Scythe coolers is that they are quite competitively priced. They are usually on par performance-wise with cooler than cost $10-20 more! At the time of writing you can pick up the Fuma for $52 at our favorite online retailer.

When it comes to performance the Fuma sits in the middle of our test group, keeping our Core i7-4790K at 59C during full load. This is very impressive especially since almost all of the coolers in our test group are very high performance coolers. The Fuma also runs extremely quiet, something that not all coolers can boast either. If you want to add even more performance you can actually add a third fan, Scythe includes extra fan clips as well.

Another big factor when it comes to CPU coolers is how easy they are to install. The Fuma uses Scythe’s Hyper Precision Mounting System which are are accustomed to using after reviewing a few different Scythe coolers. Installation of the cooler takes about 5 minutes and we did not run into any major issues. The only thing that was a little difficult was getting the fan back in the center after we installed the heatsink.

At the end of the day the Fuma can definitely compete with other high performance air CPU coolers out there and has a price that can’t be ignored. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Scythe Fuma CPU Cooler a 9 out of 10 score.
