Steam Reveals To Selling Games of 2017

Steam has just released a special page revealing the top selling games on their platform, measured by gross revenue this year. They have organized games into “Platinum”, “Gold”, “Silver”, and “Bronze” tiers. Taking a look at the Platinum tier you can see many games you expected to be there like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Counter-Strike: GO, and Rocket League. One interesting thing about the platinum tier is that there are two Free To Play games listed. This shows that their monetization strategy is correct, and how free to play games can still making impressive earnings.

Moving down to the Gold Tier it is interesting to see both Assassin’s Creed Origins and Call of Duty: WWII there as both games only just came out recently. This shows how big these games really are. the rest of the games you can check out below or on Steam’s dedicated page.

About 10 years of computer experience. Been messing around with electronics since I was 5, got into computers when I was in highschool, been modding them ever since then. Very interested in how things work and their design.
