SteelSeries has released two new gaming mice, Aerox 3 and Aerox 3 Wireless. At the release, the CEO, Ehtisham Rabbani, said: “Ultralight mice have taken the gaming mouse industry by storm, We’re excited to announce two mice that won’t only be great for SteelSeries fans but will delight PC gamers everywhere. For the first time, gamers won’t have to sacrifice build quality or performance to get a mouse that is incredibly light.”
Aerox 3 Wireless:
The Aerox 3 wireless features the new TrueMove Air sensor built in partnership with PixArt and is a custom 1to1 tracking sensor designed specifically for wireless mice. The sensor has a 18000CPI, 400IPS, and a 40G optical sensor, and its power efficiency allowed Steelseries to bring down the weight to 66g by using a smaller battery. The battery supports fast charging through the USB-C port, and you can get 40+ hours of battery life with 15 minutes of charging. The battery has a longer life than the competition as the mouse uses Quantum 2.0 Wireless technology(Used in Rival 3) that allows it to connect via 2.4Ghz Wireless USB or a Bluetooth connection. The battery lasts for 200 hours in the Bluetooth mode, while the 2.4Ghz mode gives you a battery life of 80+ hours.
It is the first mouse ever to receive an IP54 rating, which means it’s water-resistant and is protected from dust, oil, dirt, etc. SteelSeries AquaBarrier technology protects the internal circuits of the mouse from every possible environmental damage.
The other features of Aerox 3 include: SteelSeries’ new Super Mesh Cable for a lighter feel and less drag, the mouse also features three modes of RGB lighting, and you can customize your mouse through the USB-C connection.
The Aerox 3 will be launched on November 3 with a price tag of $99.99
Both the Aerox 3 and Aerox 3 wireless have the same features such as IP54 water and dust resistance, holey design inspired by the popular Rival 3, Super Mesh Cable, PTFE Glide Skates, three-zone RGB lighting, and USB-C cable customization, but there are some major differences between the two.
The Aerox 3 features the TrueMove Core sensor instead of the TrueMove Air. This custom sensor has an 8,500 CPI, 300 IPS, and a 35G sensor. The Aerox 3 weighs at 57G.
The Aerox 3 will launch on November 10 with a price tag of $59.99.
