Surface Pro 8 Prototype Allegedly Spotted on eBay Running Intel’s 11th Gen Processor With Iris Xe iGPU

A listing on eBay was spotted, that showed the pictures of the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 8. From the pictures, it looked quite similar to its predecessor but the hardware will be different. It was listed by the eBay seller, zzaj300n and he has a 100% percent positive rating. Here’s the description of the listing:

“Yes, you read the title right. Up for sale is a Surface Pro 8 engineering model, it has ES version of 11th gen i7-1165G7 processor, 32GB ram at 4267Mhz (Pro 7 maxed out at 16GB), and 1TB Samsung SSD. Perfectly working, but as it is unreleased do backup driver yourself before restoring otherwise you cannot find it online. Come with a blue type cover.”

As far as the design is concerned, it looks almost the same as the Surface Pro 7 and its performance depends on its cooling, but it will feature an Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU, along with 32GB RAM, which is good news for consumers requiring both portability and power. For I/O, the Surface Pro 8 features a USB-C port, USB-A port, and an SD card reader.

The appreciated changes include a Samsung 1TB SSD and the use of 32GB of RAM compared to the fact that Pro 7 could only max out a 16GB, non-upgradeable LPDDR4x RAM. We are still not sure if Microsoft will use the LPDDR5 standard or not.

Intel also emphasizes on its Iris XE GPU that is significantly more powerful than its previous-gen graphics solutions and is suitable for people who intend to do casual gaming. The Surface Pro 8 features a 12.3-inch display, and it was listed at $1300; hence we can assume that it may be its actual launch price.

There’s no information on how the eBay seller was able to get the Surface Pro 8.

Update: The listing is no longer available.
