We’ve seen both AORUS and Corsair offer “dummy” modules to get that sleek look of all memory slots populated with RGB lighting. Well Thermaltake has another alternative with their recently announced Pacific R1 Plus Memory Lighting kit.
The Pacific R1 Plus will latch on to your 4-slot DIMM cluster much like air coolers we’ve seen in the past. But instead of cooling it provides four LED diffusers that gives the appearance of four RGB LED illuminated modules. This accessory is compatible with any type of standard height memory, DDR2-DDR4.
The kit has a single addressable RGB connection so you can plug it into your motherboard. If you don’t have an aRGB header on your motherboard, Thermaltake is also including an RGB control module which plus into a USB 2.0 header and allows for control via the company’s TT RGB Plus app. Now word yet on pricing.
