It seems as if AORUS started something with their RGB memory, where 2 of the 4 memory modules were “dummy” modules. It seems as if Corsair is following suit as they have just introduced their Vengeance RGB Pro Light Enhancement Kit (model: CMWLEKIT2W/B), which is essentially dummy modules that look exactly like real Vengeance RGB Pro DIMMs.
The “dummy” modules are of course made to add RGB lighting to your build. The draw power from the DDR4 slot and will run in sync with your real Vengeance RGB Pro modules. These are also compatible with motherboard RGB software so you will be able to control them that way as well.
Corsair will be offering these in black and white versions that come with two DIMMs each. Both are priced at $39.99. If if you only plan on running 2 modules you might want to pick these up to make everything look uniform.
