Thunderobot MIX Mini-PC To Feature Core i9-13900H And GeForce RTX 4070 Mobile Graphics

Originally, there were reports indicating that the Thunderobot MIX, a small gaming PC, would be equipped with a GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card. However, the company has since verified that it will instead include a more advanced GeForce SKU.

The MIX is a compact gaming system housed in a 1.7L chassis. Its design bears resemblance to the old Alienware Alpha R2 systems, which featured the dated Intel Haswell architecture along with the GeForce GTX 900 GPU series. However, Thunderobot’s MIX stands out with significantly faster hardware despite the similarities in appearance.

The MIX comes with official specifications offering choices between a Core i9-13900H or Core i7-13620H Raptor Lake mobile processor. Gamers have the option to select either 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5 memory and 512GB or 1TB of storage. Notably, the most impressive feature is the availability of an RTX 4060 or RTX 4070 Laptop GPU with up to 140W, putting this product on par with powerful gaming laptops.

The logical question to consider is the ideal use for such a system. One potential application could be as a home theater PC or a dedicated gaming PC connected to a large TV. While the graphics might not fully support 4K gaming, newer upscaling techniques like DLSS3 could potentially mitigate that limitation. The pricing of the new MIX PC has not been disclosed yet.
