Titan Fenrir TTC-NK85TZ CPU Cooler Review

Overview
The Titan Fenrir is a fairly new product on the Titan CPU Cooler Line. Having the support for nearly all CPU Socket types, even including the i7 1366, the Titan is a universal CPU Cooler. A set of four heatpipes extend in a U-shaped design running up through the tower of fairly thick aluminum fins.

The unique fin shape helps reduce resistance and increase cooling performance. A large inward contour is shaped on one of the lengthier sides while the other side has a smaller contour raised to a flat edge on either side. The smaller sides of the fins have an outward contour with small section slanted inwards near the middle of the side. A notch in this section also allows for the fan to be installed.

The stack of around 60 fins leaves a nice edge to the wider sides. The fins are fairly thick and evenly spaced apart as well, which makes it feel like a sturdy structure.

A small notch in a single fin may not seem like much, but whenever they are stacked together you’ll see that they leave a nice support system for the installation of the fan.

The 120mm fan, which is not pre-attached to the heatsink, has a 4-pin/PWM connector. The slate colored casing of the fan fits nicely with the chrome painted fan fins. The cable isn’t too lengthy so it helps reduce the bulk on the motherboard.

Titan doesn’t give details about the heatpipe size, but I’d have to assume the four heatpipes are probably around 4-6mm in size and of course made out of copper. The four heatpipes in their U-shape run through the base block and actually are slightly cut off so that they are flush with the base to provide direct contact to the CPU.
