We have seen slim external drives, and now Toshiba is giving us an opportunity to view Toshiba’s Canvio Slim II. The first generation hard drive by Toshiba was launched last year followed by the launch of Canvio Slim offering as much as 1TB on internal storage space and only measures up to 12.5mm in thickness. It’s definitely the smallest and thinnest external hard drive available currently in the market supporting both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0.
An added advantage is that it also fulfills the requirement of remote access. As long as Toshiba Canvio Slim is connected to the pc with internet, the power is on and it’s active. Users can easily access their files, music, photos from any device even if you are home or anywhere on the planet. Yes! That is possible with the new Toshiba Canvio Slim.
Other than this the device includes 10GB of free cloud storage with its each portable hard drive for keeping your “ always available” copies of important files safe in it. Not only this, the device also allows to directly back up their photos and videos from Smartphone’s through iOS and Android apps which sets it apart from the similar devices available in the market. Moreover Canvio SLIM II can also plan back-up to run automatically at any time of the day assuring that the files are in safe hands.
The drive is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS. The 500GB model is available at $114.99 and 1TB model comes with a price tag of $149.99. You can buy these models from Toshiba’s website later this month; these would be also made available by some retailers.
