Turtle Beach Has Decided To Retire the ROCCAT Brand After 20 Years

ROCCAT is a brand that we know all too well here at ThinkComputers. The brand was founded in Germany in 2006 and since that time they have been pumping out some really awesome gaming products, probably most known for their Kone mouse series and Vulcan gaming keyboards. One thing that really made ROCCAT stand out in the early days was their software. It was really in depth and gave you many more options that other gaming peripheral software at the time.

In 2019 Turtle Beach acquired Turtle Beach for $19 million. It now appears that Turtle Beach will be retiring the ROCCAT brand after 20 years. All of the exiting product lines will be shifted over to Turtle Beach branding and it looks like ROCCAT’s social channels are being rebranded to “Turtle Beach PC”.

“We want to bring a greater level of integration to our family of products across console, PC and simulation,” a statement on the Turtle Beach, formerly Roccat, website says. “We felt that time and resources would be best spent focusing under a single brand and creating a range of products that matter most to gamers.”

While it is sad to see the ROCCAT name go, we hope to see the product lines continue under the Turtle Beach name. Do you have a favorite ROCCAT product of the past?
