Final Thoughts on the Valkyrie V360 Lite
As our first experience with a Valkyrie all-in-one CPU liquid cooler, I think the V360 Lite did quite well. Cooling performance in both idle and load situations is midrange, and there is nothing to complain about. In fact, this cooler is tied for the best load performance in our 500 RPM test. The 21 FPI rating paired up with high static pressure fans most certainly helps achieve good performance across the test suite. That’s not to say that the pump and water block design didn’t also play a role in the performance as well, it’ just that they are sort of overshadowed many times by flashier components. I do want to point out though that the pump can be a bit noisy at times, due to a flowing water sound that it tends to make. This sound comes and goes, and I was not able to get it to permanently go away, no matter the angle or speed at which the system was running.
As far as looks go, the ARGB lighting on the fans is nice, but the low LED count makes the movement of light a bit choppy compared to some other fan designs. It’s not a deal breaker, but certainly something that was noticed. The same can be said about the pump housing lighting, but I was too distracted by the cool looks of the circuitry underneath the window to care. I think this design is pretty cool, and reminded me of the Nothing Phone designs that show all of the internal components. It is definitely a step in the right direction, and hopefully we see Valkyrie utilize this type of design in future products.
