General Usage
Getting the monitor setup us quite easy, just plug in the power and your inputs and you’re good to go. When I first turned the monitor on I noticed it was quite bright, and I actually turned the brightness down. The 1920 x 1080 resolution does give you a lot of room to work with, especially if you are working with graphics. I was able to have 2 Firefox windows open on the screen at once.
The on screen menu is typical of what you will find on most monitors. You have contrast and brightness controls. The menu is easy to navigate with the buttons on the side of the monitor. Also in the menu is the volume for the included speakers.
The speakers on the VX2433wm are located on the back so when you go to play music it will be coming out of the back of the monitor. These speakers really cannot be used for much, maybe listening to music but that’s about it. I wouldn’t expect someone to watch a movie using these speakers.
