Were We All Wrong? – NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1180 Launching July 30th?

I’m sure many of you read our report yesterday on how NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang when asked about a Volta-based GeForce Card said “It’ll be a long time from now”. Obviously for all of us gamers out there that was a little disappointing. Well a new report coming from Anthony Garreffa of TweakTown is saying that we will see a next-generation GeForce GTX 1180 launching on July 30th!

Anthony has been on the floor at Computex and has talked to many different industry people and they have all told him that July 30th is the date. He asked multiple people and more than one confirmed that it is less than two months away.

So what about Jensen Huang’s comments? Well Anthony explains that he’s “just going to say that”. Which does make sense if you know Jensen Huang.

July 30th seems like a perfect time as that is when many 4K 144 Hz gaming displays will be coming out and 4K 120 Hz BFGDs as well.
