Final Thoughts on the Xastra ASTRA LZ360 ARGB
As the first Xastra product we have taken a look at, I was pleasantly surprised by its cooling performance. The ASTRA LZ360 ARGB held its own quite nicely, matching or outperforming coolers from many established brands in both idle and load scenarios. I think much of this has to do with the 28mm thickness and high static pressure ratings of the fans, paired up with the 20 fpi radiator that allows the cooler to quickly and efficiently move a lot of air across a fin array that isn’t very dense.
As far as aesthetics go, again, the ASTRA LZ360 ARGB offers a more retro look, with multiple LED matrix displays available on the fans and pump housing. Each display can be customized on its own, and the fans can be grouped together to offer a singular look across all three. I think this design choice will definitely resonate with some builders, and when paired up with some of the recent retro-style cases, will make for some really cool builds. While the software offers some great configurations for these visuals, it is a bit dated in looks, and could use a bit of a refresh in my opinion.
The overall quality of the ASTRA LZ360 ARGB is quite good, with nothing standing out as inferior or questionable, which is great when you are first encountering a new brand. Great performance and a unique retro look will definitely make the Xastra ASTRA LZ360 ARGB a cooler that appeals to a certain audience. Pricing and availability is a bit of a mystery right now, so it makes it a bit tough to rate this cooler. We will update this review as information becomes available, but our preliminary verdict is that the Xastra ASTRA LZ360 ARGB earns a 7 out of 10.
