XIGMATEK has just announced the revised Tyr (SD1264B) CPU cooler. This is a tower-type cooler which features an aluminum fin tower tower design that actually narrows towards the bottom of the stack for better clearance around the CPU socket. There are four direct-contact 6mm-thick copper heatpipes that make their way up through the heatsink stack.
Ventilation is taken care of by a 120 mm fan, which spins between 600-2000 RPM and pushes up to 59 CFM of air with noise ranging between 28-38 dBA. The fan uses a 4-pin PWM input and includes a “speed adapter” which reduces the fan speed by half. The fan’s frame also features LEDs. The cooler has support for sockets LGA115x, AM3(+), and FM2(+). No word yet on pricing.
