Zotac had their entire line of ZBOX mini PCs on display at CES this year. The one that really caught our attention was the new passively cooled C Series unit. Being passively cooled means that there are no fans at all inside the unit. This means that there is going to be no noise at all!
Zotac’s C Series ZBOX’s will feature Intel Core i5-6300U Skylake processors, Intel HD graphics 520, a 2.5-inch HDD/SDD bay, 2x DDR3L-1600 SODIMM slots, dual Gigabit LAN, 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. The top of the unit has a cool mesh design to it. On the front of the unit you have a power button, activity LEDs, two USB 3.1 type-C ports, combination USB 3.0 port / SD card slot, and headphone and microphone connections.
Moving around to the back you have an antenna connection for the WiFi, DisplayPort, dual Gigabit Ethernet, a USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, and a power connection. No word yet on a starting price from Zotac, but they say they will be one of the first to market with a passively cooled Skylake unit in this size.
