ZBOX HD-AD02 Plus Overview
The ZBOX is a pretty small unit considering what all is inside. The actual dimensions are 7.40in x 7.40in x 1.73in. Zotac uses a simple square design that allows the ZBOX to fit pretty much anywhere you put it. There is a Zotac logo on the front and a circle that will light up when the system is powered on. Zotac also includes a VESA mount for you to install the ZBOX to the back of a display and a stand if you want to have the ZBOX standing up.

On the front of the system you have a power button, hard drive activity LED, WiFi activity LED, USB port, card reader, and audio ports. It is nice that there is a front mounted USB connection and a card reader for easy file transfers if needed. Moving around back you have all of your other connections, they include: power, optical audio out, HDMI, DVI, 2x USB 2.0, ethernet, 2x USB 3.0 and eSATA. It is good to see USB 3.0 here, especially if you want to connect a USB 3.0 external hard drive.

On both the top and bottom you have some ventilation holes that should help with cooling a little bit. On the top there is another USB port, giving you a total of 6 USB ports (4 USB 2.0, 2 USB 3.0).

On the bottom you will also notice 2 thumbscrews, if you remove those it unlocks to top of the ZBOX so you can take a look inside. If we look inside we can see all of the components. Zotac uses a Samsung 250GB drive and you can see the single memory DIMM. This ZBOX’s memory can be upgraded all the way up to 8GB. The AMD E-350 APU is cooled be a small fan.
