Scythe Byakko CPU Cooler Review

Today we have a new air CPU cooler on the test bench today. It comes from Scythe who we know for some pretty impressive CPU coolers in the past. The cooler is the Byakko, which means "White Tiger" in Japanese. The Byakko is designed for ultimate compatibility in all systems as it has a height of only 130 mm. It is your typical tower cooler with three 6 mm heatpipes and a 92 mm fan.

AMD Radeon Vega On Par With GTX 1080 Ti And TITAN Xp

AMD desktop processor marketing exec Don Woligrosky did a AMA (ask me anything) session with Tom's Hardware community. He answered quite a lot of questions about AMD's Ryzen platform, but did not shy away from making a comment about the company's upcoming high-end graphics card, Radeon Vega, either. He stated, "Vega performance compared to the Geforce GTX 1080 Ti and the Titan Xp looks really nice".

MSI Bundling Intel Optane Cache SSDs With Select Motherboards

Well MSI is the first at this, but I think we could see many motherboard manufactures doing this, they have prepared special SKUs of their motherboards that include Intel Optane Cache SSDs. These motherboards will have a slight price increase over the normal price of the boards, but the total price will be cheaper than buying the motherboard and Optane Cache SSDs separately.

AMD’s Ryzen 7 1800X Gets A Price Cut

AMD has given its flagship Ryzen 7 1800X a slight price cut. Now the chip will be selling for $469 at leading online retailers in the US. This is down $30 from its launch price of $499. While the Ryzen 7 1800X receives this $30 price cut the rest of the Ryzen series stays the same.

GeIL EVO Forza DDR4-2400 32GB Memory Kit Review

GeIL has quite a few different lines of DDR4 memory. We've already taken a look at their Super LUCE memory and now its time to take a look at the EVO Forza memory. EVO Forza is part of their gaming series memory so it is targeted at gamers and enthusiasts. The kit we are taking a look at today is their GFY432GB2400C16QC which is a 32GB kit that runs at 2400 MHz with timings of 16-16-16-36 at 1.2V. This is marketed as a quad-channel kit, but it can easily be used as a dual-channel kit on Intel Z170 and Z270 platforms as well. Let's get this kit in a test system and see what it can do!
