2021 Call of Duty Will be Named WWII Vanguard

Activision might delay the release of its next Call of Duty by several months due to the ongoing pandemic situation. On the other hand, early details of the next Call of Duty WWII are showing up. A couple of trusted sources report that Sledgehammer Games will develop the Call of Duty 2021.

ModernWarzone was the first one to report the Sledgehammer news, and they claim that the working title for this year’s game is Call of Duty WWII: Vanguard. They have specified that this name could change.

ModernWarzone has also reported that at least a part of the new game will take place in the 1950s. As we all know that World War II ended in 1945, so this upcoming COD might feature the Korean War, which started in 1950 and ended in 1953. ModernWarzone thinks that Sledgehammer might be working on an alternative timeline where WWII lasts even after it ends in the real world.

Moreover, Activision has confirmed that the new premium Call of Duty is launching this holiday season, but there is no information on the release date or the platform for which it will arrive.
