Employees do not always complain while suffering from workplace circumstances. Some workplaces remain for years the same, whereas users getting for example bent backs and headaches. As an employer you have the obligation to provide high quality solutions. How do you create high quality workplace circumstances? Below you can find 5 tips for better solutions.

Tip 1: Reduce work stress

Nowadays work stress is a huge problem on the work floor. Stress has often to do with uncertainty, lots of tasks and pressure from managers. There are some ideas to prevent more stress:

  • Have a monthly evaluation talk with your employee. Many are insecure about their functional behaviour. Ask them if the work load is reasonable. Of course, they should work hard, but an overload causes stress, physical pain and oblivion.
  • Observe the behaviour of your colleagues. Can they easily finish their tasks? Do they sight a lot? Lots of people do not dare to tell to you about work stress due to the fear of resignation.
  • Make a plan to tackle work stress. Discuss the amount and length of the tasks. Define these tasks concretely. It should be time-bounded and measurable.

Tip 2: Create an ergonomic workplace

Secondly, stimulate your colleagues to place the keyboard on the border of his or her desk. This is the best way to avoid back pain since your shoulders will rest.

As we all know, sitting is often underestimated and is comparable with smoking. The ones who move more are far more healthier and less absence at work. It is hard to prevent sitting while working in an office. Therefore, try to stimulate your staff to move. Small things can make a big change. For example, divide the dust bin in several parts: one for paper, glass et cetera. This is beneficial for the environment and moreover, you stimulate movement.
