That's one sweet external drive considering how much it costs and it supports Blu-ray.

This drive is pretty sleek, allows you to bring around everywhere since it does not require an extra AC adapter. Sweet, HD movies on the go

All you need is atleast two USB ports and you're all set.
Can it not run on only one usb? My external hdd has a usb y connector but still works perfectly fine with only the main one plugged in.

It depends if its a 2.5″ or 3.5″ HDD.

i know mine can run off one usb, it's a 2.5″ drive, but how does that relate to whether this Blu-ray drive can run off one or not? plus, why would they include a usb y cable on my external if they knew it could run off one usb slot anyways.
2.5″ drives don't require as much power as 3.5″ drives.
There's a reason why it comes with two USB connectors.
IT's a 2.5″ ONLY external hdd..
There can be certain situations where one USB connector doesn't enough to power the HDD which is why there are two connectors.
Why else do you think there are two USB connectors?

would be perfect with a netbook w/ an nvidia ion
well, it works perfectly fine on my netbook, running on battery, so i see no need for it
Obviously for power, but wondering if it CAN run only on one.

IS COMPATIBLE WITH APPLE MAC? THANKS!
I'm not sure 100%, but this article leads me to believe yes:

However, I'd verify it with some more sources.

Is there someone that can tell me if this makes alot of noise? Since it wasn't featured in the review! Other than that, great review, thx!
Not much noise, just like a typical cdrom drive
