It looks like European PC enthusiasts are really choosing Intel over AMD when it comes to processors. According to the latest public data by German retailer Mindfactory.de, which ships across the EU, AMD is out-selling Intel 2-to-1!
Looking at the data the 6-core, 12-thread Ryzen 5 2600 is the most popular processor, offering incredible value at under the 200€-mark. It is followed by the 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 2700X and it is interesting that users prefer the 2700X to the cheaper 2700 non-X part. Another strong chip is the Ryzen 5 2600X. On the Intel side their strong sellers are the Core i9-9900K and Core i7-9700K, followed up by the Core i5-9600K.
As far as pricing goes we can see that the price of Intel processors rise over the course of 2018, while AMD processors remained pretty much the same. Remember that these numbers are not for the full market, as Mindfactory is a DIY PC shop.
