Soon after an alleged image showing AirPods Studio ‘Sport’ was available on the internet, renders of Apple’s over-ear headphones were spotted too. A bulky design was expected, but Apple is most likely to use a sleek and a premium design to attract its customers.
Leakster Jon Prosser provided the renders in collaboration with ConceptCreator. Apple is looking to come up with compact yet premium headphones for their consumers. A first glance tells us that the headphones will be lightweight and durable at the same time. According to a tweet by Jon Prosser, the AirPods Studio will feature a leather and metal build, delivering durability and an aesthetic combo at the same time.
His tweet also states that the AirPods Studio will ship with magnetic ear cups hinting that they will be easy to remove. There’s a possibility that Apple will ship these headphones with a variety of ear cup sizes to provide personalization to their loyal customers. Moreover, these ear cups appear to be reversible. They will also be able to detect your left and right ear.
Although Prosser mentioned that a USB-C port is provided, he did not provide details regarding the headphones’ support for wired connections.
Prosser mentioned that the headphones will be priced at $349 competing with other brands like Bose and Sony but providing a new design. Apple will announce the iPhone 12 lineup soon and we can also expect to hear about the AirPods Studio during the event.
