Amazon Working on their own Cloud Gaming Service Called “Project Tempo”

According to a new report by the New York Times, Amazon is planning to launch a new cloud gaming service called “Project Tempo”. Apparently this project has been in development for several months and has cost several hundred million dollars. Amazon is also developing new AAA games to accompany the launch of the new service.

This project is one of Amazon’s largest investments in original entertainment since its founding. The service will compete in the crowded streaming game platfrom space with Google Stadia, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Microsoft Project xCloud, and others. One advantage that Amazon has over others is their vast network of data centers that are already part of Amazon Web Services. These will help the service achieve the minimal latency required for an optimal experience.

The first Amazon game release will be a New World fantasy MMO in May, which will be followed by more games throughout the year, which target hardcore gamers.
