AMD Radeon RX 6800 16GB Is Now Available For €399 Making It A Better Buy Than RTX 4060 Ti

Currently, gamers have the option to select either the Radeon RX 6800, which offers 16GB VRAM, or the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, both available at a similar price point. The mid-range GPU from NVIDIA was recently launched with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of €439 in most EU countries. However, the pricing was promptly revised to €419 within a few hours. Presently, the EU market offers this 8GB graphics card at approximately €427.

Given the recent development, choosing an NVIDIA card may now be more challenging due to the availability of the MSI Radeon RX 6800 Gaming Z Trio. This particular card has seen a price drop below €400, making it currently cheaper than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. Additionally, the Radeon RX 6800 Gaming Z Trio boasts faster performance and double the memory compared to the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti.

While most retailers are offering the same model for around €450, the pricing set by the EU store Alternate remains an exception. It’s important to note that this particular card is currently out of stock, and the shipping date is subject to change. However, interested customers can still place an order for the product, and as a bonus, it comes with a complimentary coupon for the game Resident Evil 4.

As per the review by TechPowerUP, the Radeon RX 6800 non-XT exhibits a performance advantage ranging from 9% to 18%, with the advantage becoming more pronounced at higher resolutions. Additionally, the 16GB VRAM of the Radeon RX 6800 provides greater future-proofing compared to the 8GB available in the RTX 4060 Ti, which is set to release its 16GB variant in July. However, it’s worth noting that the RTX GPU supports newer technologies such as DLSS3 (while AMD has not provided updates on their FSR3) and offers lower power consumption during gaming (152W vs. 235W).
