AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT & RX 7700 XT Official Gaming And Synthetic Benchmark Leaked

HDTecnologia has recently shared AMD’s official details about the imminent release of the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT graphics cards scheduled for September 6th. While some of this data might have been revealed during AMD’s initial presentation, this latest leak offers a more comprehensive compilation of game titles and incorporates synthetic benchmarks, which were conspicuously missing from the initial reveal.

Both the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT graphics cards utilize the Navi 32 GPU architecture and are designed to rival NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti 16GB models, respectively. AMD has emphasized this competition by presenting direct comparisons with NVIDIA GPUs and adjusting their pricing accordingly.

The benchmark results are divided into two sets: one with ray tracing activated and the other without. It’s important to highlight that AMD’s ray tracing hardware acceleration is not as powerful as NVIDIA’s, which explains why the data is separated to showcase where AMD’s cards perform strongly and where they might face competition.

In summary, when ray tracing is not in use, the Radeon RX 7800 XT surpasses the GeForce RTX 4070 by an average of nearly 7%, and when ray tracing is enabled, it maintains a slight 0.5% advantage. Conversely, the RX 7700 XT demonstrates a 16% performance advantage over the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB. However, the inclusion of ray tracing can slightly favor NVIDIA, resulting in an 8.5% lead for their GPUs over AMD’s.

Videocardz received a helpful slide from HDTecnologia displaying the 3DMark performance results for the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT. Interestingly, this list doesn’t include the Speed Way benchmark, which is UL’s latest high-end system test. When it comes to overall performance, the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT seem to surpass their NVIDIA counterparts in most benchmarks, with one notable exception.

In the Port Royal benchmark, which utilizes ray tracing, the RTX 4070 seems to outperform the RX 7800 XT. Nevertheless, it’s important to emphasize that even in this situation, the RX 7700 XT stands out as the clear victor when compared to the RTX 4060 Ti.The official embargo for this information is set to expire on September 6th, coinciding with AMD’s card launch.
