At Computex, AMD revealed four Ryzen 9000 series processors and two Ryzen 5000XT models for the previous-generation socket. These were initially scheduled for release on July 31st, but the Zen5-based processors have been delayed by one to two weeks, depending on the specific model.
AMD has not announced the prices for either the Ryzen 9000 or Ryzen 5000XT models, which were set to launch this month. A few retailers have listed the Ryzen 5000XT models, but there is conflicting information about their release dates. Currently, B&H Photo Video’s listings for the Ryzen 9 5900XT and Ryzen 7 5800XT suggest they might be available later than initially anticipated.
The Ryzen 7 5800XT is now available for preorder starting on August 8th, and the 5900XT is scheduled for release on August 15th.
AMD has yet to announce pricing for these models. Neither the Zen4 nor Zen5 processors have been given official MSRP before their launch, which is unusual for AMD, even though four embargoes have already been lifted.
The AMD Ryzen 9 5900XT is expected to have 16 cores with CPU base and boost clocks of 3.3 GHz and 4.8 GHz, respectively. This means it will have four more cores than the 5900X, but its base clock will be 400 MHz slower. The Ryzen 7 5800XT is anticipated to have 8 cores with clock speeds of 3.8 GHz and 4.8 GHz, which is 100 MHz higher than the 5800X.
