AMD Ryzen 9 5950X CPU gets benchmarked again, beats Intel’s top Core i9-10980XE HEDT chip

AMD recently unveiled its Zen 3 based Ryzen 5000 series of CPUs. These CPUs promise some serious performance gains not only over the last generation of Ryzen chips but also over the competition. The flagship chip in the Ryzen 5000 lineup has now been benchmarked again, and it’s crushing the Intel competition.

Yesterday, we had reported about the Ryzen 9 5950X getting benchmarked on Geekbench 5. We now have fresh benchmarks that show the Ryzen 9 5950X hitting way better numbers. Take a look:

The last leak was showing the score to be 1605 for single-thread, and 12.869 for multi-thread. The new benchmarks are reporting single-thread figures between 1640-1663, with multi-thread numbers hovering between 15782-15860.

The Ryzen 9 5950X seems to be outperforming the highest-end Intel chips, including the Core i9-10980XE 18-core HEDT chip, by a sizeable margin:

Well, it looks like Ryzen 5000 series is the new king of the CPU market. What do you think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
