Antec’s latest handheld gaming device, the Core HS, is a rebranded version of the AYANEO Slide from China. It comes with a 6-inch 1080p display that slides up to reveal a physical QWERTY keyboard while still allowing access to the controllers. However, unlike some high-end handhelds, the Core HS doesn’t include touchpads.

The device runs on the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U, an 8-core Zen 4 processor featuring RDNA3 graphics with 12 compute units (CUs). This is the same hardware used in other devices like the ROG Ally and Legion Go. However, the Core HS can utilize drivers directly from AMD instead of relying on those from the manufacturer. Additionally, Antec has incorporated AYANEO’s software, AYANEO Space, which provides key features like overlays and power profile switching.
