AORUS DDR4-4800 RGB 16GB Memory Kit Review

AORUS RGB Memory Overview

The design of the AORUS RGB Memory has been changed since the original memory launched back in 2018. Now the memory has a more sleek and refined design. You have a black PCB with a sort of gunmetal grey heatspreader. On the main side of the heat spreader is the AORUS logo.

Flipping the memory over to the opposite side there is another AORUS logo (text) and a small sticker that has the model number, speed, capacity, and timings. This is the GP-ARS16G48 kit which is a 16GB kit running at an impressive 4800 MHz with timings of 19-26-26-46 at 1.5V.

At the top of the memory is a large white diffuser that sits above the RGB LEDs on the kit. There are no logos or marking on the diffuser, it is just plain white.

One thing I did notice right off the bat when I picked up the memory is just how heavy it was. Taking a look from the side we can see that Gigabyte is using some pretty thick aluminum heat spreaders. The diffuser does sit above the memory so for those wondering about height we measured this memory at 39.2 mm tall.
