Apple to Announce its Mixed Reality Headset in the “Next Several Months”

In the past few months, we have been hearing several rumors that Apple is working on a mixed reality headset. In fact, mApple has filed numerous patents previously that further strengthen the idea that Apple is indeed working on the headset.

As per Mark Gurman at Bloomberg, Apple will unveil its mixed reality headset in the next several months at an in-person event. The news was shared in the newsletter that highlighted the future of the WWDC conference format. If the news is true, then this will be Apple’s next big announcement after the Apple Watch in 2015.

There hasn’t been much discussion about the release frame of the headset, but the leaks and rumors suggest that it will be targeted towards a specific niche of developers.

In consideration of Apple offering its custom silicon to developers before launch, speculations have born that Apple will offer mixed reality headsets to developers for their reviews before its announcements.
