ASRock appears to have rebranded its latest graphics cards as the Creator series, which were previously named the RX 7900 XTX WS and RX 7900 XT WS. Announced last month, these cards are tailored for multi-GPU clusters, making them well-suited for AI inference, generative AI, and professional workstation tasks.
According to the official Computex press release, both cards come with a blower-type cooling system, occupy two slots, and have a vapor chamber. Notably, these are ASRock’s first, and the world’s first, Radeon GPUs to feature the new 16-pin power connector (12V-2X6), which was previously only used by the GeForce RTX 40 series. It’s still unclear if ASRock will include the optional adapter with these cards, whereas all RTX 40 cards currently come with such a cable.
ASRock’s GPUs are derived from the consumer (gaming) versions of Navi 31. The RX 7900 XTX has the same core count as the Radeon PRO W7900 but comes with only half the memory (24GB vs. 48GB) and lacks full UHBR20 mode support for DisplayPort 2.1 like the PRO model. For applications such as generative AI, switching to Radeon RX models can lead to significant cost savings, which ASRock recognizes. The company has not yet announced the pricing for its Creator series and is planning to launch these cards on their website, but no additional details are currently available.
