ASRock X570 Taichi Motherboard Review

Software & Lights

As far as motherboard companion software ASRock makes downloading apps very easy with their Live Update and App Shop. Through it you can download all of the drivers, software, and misc apps for your motherboard. This saves you so much time!

ASRocks’s main motherboard companion software is A-Tuning. Here you can fully tune your system within Windows. On the main screen you can set your operation mode.

The next tab is OC Tweaker. Here you have sliders for all different types of settings that have to do with tuning your CPU.

Next is system info, which is basically a live hardware monitor showing speeds, temperatures, voltages, and more.

FAN-Tastic Tuning allows you to set your fans to certain fan curves and even test each fan to see what the best curve would be.

For RGB control on the board you have ASRock’s Polychrome Sync software. You have the ability to control all of the lights on the board at once (make them all the same color / effect) or you can select them individually. Here you can also set the RGB lighting to different components on the board too. The software had no problem detecting our G.SKILL Trident Z Royal memory.

When it comes to lighting on the board it is quite good. You have RGB lighting on the rear I/O cover, across the board’s large heatsink, and along the edge of the board. The might be the most RGB lights we’ve seen on an ASRock board, but it’s done very well.
