ASUS Prime X470-PRO Motherboard Review

Final Thoughts
ASUS once again has come out with a solid motherboard in their Prime series. As I said I am a huge fan of the Prime series. These boards give you everything that you need without the added extras and flash that you might see on say a Republic of Gamers board. But with that said this is not a chopped down version of a board either. We’ve all seen “value” boards and this is definitely not that. The board looks amazing, has quality components, and even some RGB lighting.

When it comes to features this board has pretty much everything you would want out of an X470 motherboard. You can run two graphics cards (at x8 speeds), there are two M.2 slots, USB 3.1 support, Intel LAN, and even a pretty good audio solution. The top M.2 slot includes an integrated heatsink, which not only keeps your M.2 SSDs temperatures in check, but also looks pretty awesome.

We all know ASUS for having one of the best UEFI BIOS’s out there and witht he X470-PRO it is not different. The BIOS is easy to operate and everything can be found very fast. You can also control the RGB lights on the board as well as the headers directly from in the BIOS. Of course ASUS has great motherboard companion software as well.

If you are looking to build a new Ryzen system with the 2000 series processors the ASUS Prime X470-PRO is a solid choice and definitely one that we would recommend. It will be our next test board for all upcoming Ryzen reviews! It is currently selling at our favorite online retailer for only $155. Overall ThinkComputers gives the ASUS Prime X470-PRO Motherboard a 9 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
