ASUS Prime X470-PRO Motherboard Review

Overclocking
Overclocking on Ryzen systems is very easy to do, sometimes even easier than doing on Intel systems. On our ASUS Prime X470-PRO motherboard we go into the BIOS and simply change the CPU Core Ratio. So we start at 37 and continue to go up until our system is unstable or temperatures get to high.

We ended up with a stable overclock of 4.2 GHz across all eight cores. If you look at the screenshot below you can see that during idle our CPU was at 42C, but during load it jumped up to 79C. If you want to control the temperature under load better you change your CPU core voltage from Auto to something around 1.40-1.42V.
