ASUS TUF Gaming A17 Laptop Will be Powered by Ryzen 7 5800H Zen 3 CPU And RTX 3060

Back in November, AMD announced its Zen 3-based Ryzen 5000 desktop CPU family. The processor’s outstanding performance increased its demand causing a shortage in the market. The Zen 3 based Ryzen 5000 mobile processor family is expected to launch in early 2021.

ASUS will be one of the many OEMs that will offer new Ryzen 5000 mobile processors in their laptops. It looks like ASUS is ready with a Ryzen 5000 laptop as a Twitter user, Expert.de tweeted a product listing of ASUS TUF Gaming A7 (FA706QM). This laptop will be powered by Ryzen 7 5800U. The processor will feature 8 cores and 16 threads. It will also feature a base clock speed of 3.0Ghz and a boost clock speed of up to 4.30Ghz. The laptop will also feature an 8GB DDR4 RAM at 3200MHZ.

The processor will be paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. As for the display, the laptop will feature a 17.3-inch screen with FHD resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It will offer a typical brightness rating of 250 nits. The panel will provide a contrast of 800:1. The panel will also feature 62.5 percent coverage of the sRGB and 47.34 percent of the Adobe color space. For storage, the laptop also features a 512GB SSD. Other features of the laptop include a 90WHr battery, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and Windows 10 Home.

AMD hasn’t given any launch date for the Ryzen 5000 mobile processors yet, but we expect it to launch at the CES 2021. CES 2021 will be a digital-only affair due to the pandemic.
