AVerMedia Live Streamer MIC 350 Review

Final Thoughts

Having used the AVerMedia Live Streamer MIC 350 for a few weeks now, I have to say that it offers some great features, and implements most of them quite well, and I was pretty impressed with the overall sound that it provided. As I mentioned in the usage section, this microphone definitely sounds best while set to the cardioid polar pattern, though the omnidirectional setting isn’t too far behind. As always, a dedicated microphone is going to be leaps and bounds better than an integrated webcam or laptop microphone, and while I did play around with the optional VibeEngine application to try and tweak the audio to be more appealing in the omnidirectional mode, I just couldn’t find a setting I was excited about.

AVerMedia Live Streamer MIC 350

The build quality of this microphone is great, the multiple polar patterns offer versatility for your recording layout needs, and the optional accessories can really create a nice audio package. The fit and finish are top-notch, though I do wish that AVerMedia had implemented some sort of tap-to-mute option instead of the tactile knob that introduces unwanted sounds into your recording.

If you’re in the market for an improved audio recording option, I think the AVerMedia Live Streamer MIC 350 should be an option you consider, especially if you want to take advantage of the advanced audio mixing capabilities of the VibeEngine software. AVerMedia is offering the Live Streamer MIC 350 in a bundle that includes the AM350, the pop filter, and shock mount for $199.99 at our favorite online retailer, which may seem high at first, but when you factor in not only the microphone and accessories, but the VibeEngine software, the price makes much more sense. If you want to add in the BA311 arm, you can get that as a bundle for $379.98 as well. The AVerMedia Live Streamer MIC 350 earns an 8 out of 10 score.
