be quiet! Shadow Rock Slim 2 CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts

I am actually a huge fan is slimmer single tower coolers. Lets face it the massive dual-tower, dual-fan coolers really take up a lot of real estate inside your system, cover your RGB memory, and most of the time are a pain in the ass to install. That is why I really like be quiet’s Shadow Rock Slim 2, it is a simple cooler that gets the job done!

It terms of performance it is quite good, being within a few degrees of many of the dual-tower, dual-fan coolers that we’ve tested recently. It is also the quietest cooler that we’ve tested in our “Load 2” test at only 44.8 dBA, which is really impressive.

Installation of the cooler couldn’t be easier and the instructions are very easy to follow. Even though we installed the cooler outside of our case it is small enough you could install it with your motherboard already mounted in your system. On top of that you have 100% RAM clearance so your RGB memory does not go to waste and there won’t be any issues with your graphics card either.

The only downside with this cooler is that you just get that plain black fan. Maybe since be quiet! came out with their first RGB fans recently we could see an RGB version on their next revision of this cooler.

Right now this cooler is selling at our favorite online retailer for $47.90, which is a great price. Overall ThinkComputers gives the be quiet! Shadow Rock Slim 2 CPU Cooler a 9 out of 10 score.
