be quiet’s CPU Coolers For 2018

At CES 2018 be quiet! was showing off two brand new CPU coolers, which are new versions of two of their most popular models. They have the Dark Rock Pro and Dark Rock Pro 4, which build on the great success of the previous Dark Rock 3 and Dark Rock Pro 3.

First we have the big boy, which is the Dark Rock Pro 4. This cooler is designed as a dual-tower with two included fans. The front fan is a 120 mm be quiet! Silent Wings 3 fan, while the middle one is a larger 135 mm version. The cooler features seven heatpipes and a pretty thick copper base. This cooler has new wave-contoured cooling fins, which give each fin more surface area, providing better cooling than the previous version. This cooler is able to handle thermal loads up to 250W.

Next is the Dark Rock 4, which is a single-tower cooler. It features a single 135 mm Silent Wings 3 fan. The heatpipe count has been dropped to six, but even with that you have the ability to cool thermal loads up to 200W. One of the best features added to both coolers is top-mounting. So these will be much easier to mount than previous versions.

Both of these coolers will be available either in Q1 or Q2 of 2018.
