BestBuy is offering significant discounts on NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs, with the RTX 3080 Founders Edition priced at only $420 US. These discounts are part of BestBuy’s clearance sales and apply to the RTX 3090 Ti, RTX 3080 Ti, RTX 3080 10 GB, and RTX 3070 Founders Edition variants, which have been on the market for over two years.
The RTX 3090 Ti is now $220 US lower than its standard price, while the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 are $180 US and $200 US lower than their standard prices, respectively. The most noteworthy deal is on the RTX 3080 10 GB, which is priced at $420 US, offering $280 US in savings compared to its standard price of $699 US. Although the 10 GB VRAM may not be sufficient for some games, this variant can handle many games at 1440p and even 4K using DLSS 2.
While newer and faster cards like the RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4080 are available, they are priced much higher than the RTX 3080. These deals are only available to US and Canadian customers since they are exclusive to BestBuy.
The clearance sale appears to have been successful, with few models of the RTX 3070 or above now in stock. The discounts suggest that Best Buy is clearing space for the upcoming range of GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards, which may include the RTX 4070, RTX 4060/Ti, and RTX 4050/Ti desktop graphics cards.
